I did not answer because I did not recognize the number. They left a message (sounded pre-recorded?)<br /><br />"Hello we have been trying to reach you. This call is officially final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing lawsuit against you. You get more information about this case file. Please call immediately. Department number 206-801-1834. I repeat 206-801-1834. Thank you."

Pretty sure this is a scam number. I've been called twice with different people and different questions. Do not answer.
No one leaves a message. I don't answer unfamiliar phone #'s. That is my method of screening my calls. If they can't leave me a message then I also figure that it can NOT be that important. The fact that someone can NOT leave me a message when they call indicates to me that they are 'unprofessional' and 'impolite'. I do NOT respond to either.

Got the same IRS lawsuit message. They barely speak English while the number they called from was in Virginia, the number I called was in Seattle. I'll wait for the police to show up and arrest me.

irs scam number
This called demanded a ransom payment in return for the live of both my parents. They contacted my siblings as well. According to the Police in PR, this is a situation that is becoming the norm from prisons in PR.
I received a call from 610-879-4540 claiming to be from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Caller gave me a call back number of 877-745-5479. I fear that it is a scam and that I gave them too much info on the first call to me.

Woman called this morning saying she was my oldest granddaughter and that she had run a red light and hit a fence. She needed bail money because she was in jail and the property owner was pressing charges. I asked her what her name was and she said "Don't you know me? Your oldest granddaughter?" When I asked her name again, she hung up.
