Free vacation SCAM!! Said I filled out some contest form a year ago and I won. I never fill out that info grabbing garbage. I even got the middle eastern accented guy on the phone to admit he's paid about $200 for every person he gets to the 90 minute presentation and who buys into their fake promises. The "deals" they're selling can never be redeemed due to restrictions and hoops they try to get you to jump through, deposits you're required to send, etc. In the end you don't save any money, nothing is free, you will be out money instead. AVOID!! They use alot of different phone numbers. The same exact guy called me an hour earlier from a Texas number (972)591-8994 and even said he's actually in Dayton, Ohio the calls just get rerouted. Most likely he's from outside the country completely.
irs scam. it say irs is suing you and call this number. I submit to the attorney general and the federal gov. both of their number.
A man claiming he is an architect in california and wants me to work for him doing something I think may be a scam.
Gentleman calling stating I needed to legation but would not tell me what the call was regarding, very rude and got similar call from a blocked number the day before and saw it listed as a scam to get money.
I had posted an ad on CraigsList and I received this text from 779-206-7708: "Interested in your Furniture on CL,Pls get back to me MELISSASTONEXX@GMAIL.COM if you still have it,as am using friends phone to text you" A Google search of that email says Melissa Stone is a XX porn star. I think this is likely a scam/spam solicitation for a porn site.
I was threatened with a lawsuit because the IRS is trying to locate me for some reason. I don't owe any money to the IRS and I'm sure they wouldn't telephone me anyway. I'm sure this is a scam because I've never received any hard copy documents about this. I just want people to be aware of these phone calls. The name on my caller id looks like BRTSHURGNS BU
This guy is a SCAM ARTIST claiming to be a mechanic , named Sammy. He stole $300 from my silly and trusting husband.... DO NOT TRUSR
scammer, texted about my ad but wanted me to email back to a gmail acount
Person from this number tried to scam me on a Craigslist item. This is a land line.
I live in Arizona and he is in Massachusetts. Offered the usual $30 'extra' to 'hold' it till he got my info.
This is a scam. They say you've won money and a car but you need to send money to cover 1% of the shipping. They will cover all the taxes and 99% of the shipping. The 1% that they want you to send totals $888.00. This is a Jamaican number and the person calling has a heavy Jamaican accent! HANG UP!!! DO NOT SEND MONEY!!!!
number called me and when I returned call it says that the me that this call cannot go through. I assumesing that this is a phishing scam.
Indian accent. First i thought it's a woman, but a bit later understood - it was a man.
He wanted to inform about security of my computer.
Also wanted to talk to the MAN - the owner of computer. I asked, if he wants to talk about viruses on my computer, he responded, that he believes we have antivirus, but he needed to talk about mal-ware etc.
I asked few times if he'd like to share this information with-the-wife-of-that-man/ woman-owner-of-the-computer. (especially if it's MY duty to take care of soft/hard ware, antivirus and everything else about comp.)
He said NO, he needs to talk to the MAN-owner. And he'll call later.
I called him 'sexist', asked not to call here anymore, otherwise i'll report him, and hung up.
I'm pretty sure it's a scam. It's one of those "companies", who calls random numbers, fishing for naive computer users. They'll tell you have viruses/mal.ware/ad.ware etc, and will offer to help you with this. They'll explain how to connect (remotely) your comp. to theirs, so they could "clean-up" your virus mess. And if you follow all those steps - they ll gain full control over your computer and access to all your mails, passwords, and if they are lucky - also to bank accounts.
Please be careful.
P.S.: If you really have virus issues and don't know how to deal with that, better take your computer to the service.
Message said they had a complaint against me for check fraud. I can't think of anything that would fit this description, so I assume it's some kind of bogus call.
Calls daily and hangs up on the answering machine. I believe this to be a scam call.
This scam has been calling constantly, they say they are from PCH.

Also 310-894-8183 says she is Danielle Lam from PCH, she lists her name as Lom on Facebook saying you won 1 million but then WAL-MART is always involved in these scams because you are always told to go immediately to the closest Wal-Mart and get a Western Union money order for money gram and send it.
