A man called threatening to evict me, said I owed him money, he didn't care if I was family. I told him my name, that I knew who my landlord was. He continued to yell and threaten me. I hung up and reported the call to the police. When they tried the number it was busy. I've had my phone number since early last year. This could be a scam.

These people keep calling me, too. Even if I let it ring, they keep calling back until I pick up. Heavy accent, just like previous comments. I don't know what their game is, but there is nothing trustworthy about them. They say they are Windows Support Reps, and that my computer is sending them messages that there is something terribly wrong, and that if I don't do what they say and get them information off my computer for them there will be serious problems. It was annoying the first time they called. Now it's just creepy because they keep calling back no matter how much I tell them to stop calling me. And they won't let me get off the phone. Meanwhile, because of the accent, and because they are talking to me like they know everything and like I'm and idiot for not just doing what they ask, it never feels like clear communication and I never think they are understanding a word I am saying. So I hang up on them and the next time they call they say we were disconnected somehow. So creepy. Next time (if there is a next time) I'll do what this other commenter said and call them scammers. How do we report these people??
These people call me repeatedly. They say they are Windows Support Reps and speak with a very heavy (Indian-esque?) accent. So heavy I thought they were talking about real windows the first time. They say there is a problem with your computer and ask for your IP address. I don't even have a Windows computer so I instantly knew this was a scam. Every time I get one of these I tell them they are scammers, they say no or hang up. The last guy even asked,
How do you know this is a scam?...BECAUSE I don't even have anything Windows! And you guys are fishing for IP addresses! Take me off your list!... Big pause... Then, you don't have Windows?? ... STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE! and I hung up.
Usually they hang up before I get that far.
Don't give these people ANY INFORMATION.
Some random fake credit card co stating I owed an old bill... on a card I never had or heard of... When I stated, 'have them file in court', the woman became indignant and yelled something i couldn't quite make out... beware folks...
Just got a call this morning (November 21, 2014) from this number, saying that this is the IRS's final warning and they will be filing a lawsuit against me. Good to know this is a scam number, but wish there was a way to report them to the actual IRS...
Recording say there is something wrong with my computer...Microsoft.....Is a take on the same scam to get into your computer to supposedly fix what is wrong.
This call was from "Ricky" from Windows about my computer. I told "Ricky" I'd heard all about him and his scam on TV and I wasn't biting!
