Recorded message claiming to be from the IRS - said I was being sued and requested that I call a number they gave. I immediately hung up because IRS will contact people by mail - not personal cell phone Probably crooks looking to steal personal Identification information.

This information is wrong! I just looked up my phone number out of curiosity, and this is what I found. I am not a business, nor am I in Durham. So....<br />
This number 739-474-2027 claims they are the IRS and that you are going to be sued; then it ask you to call another number. I listed this number in my rejection section. The IRS will never call you on a cell phone number. They always respond by letter.

This number called me 9 times, last night.
Scam people trying to get my credit card, pretending to be a goverment agency related to the scam number 949-111-7689
Automated message saying it is the IRS and that I am being sued... final attempt to contact me... turned it into the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration...
number tried to call 3 times between 11:30pm and 11:45pm. No one answers, but they continued to call two more times, both times I sent it right to VM.
