Automated voice call purporting to be the IRS, issuing a "final notice" that the IRS is initiating a lawsuit against me. Most likely some kind of scam.

Google tells me area code 658 is unassigned. A woman with an accent dialed my home, claiming to be from the Canadian Do Not Call centre and asked whether we were experiencing nuisance calls from numbers we had reported. I asked her "why would the Do Not Call centre call me to ask about calls" and she just repeated her question. I hung up. I could hear a lot of noise in the background. It sounded as though she was calling from a call centre.

I was in the process of contacting Yahoo by email regarding log-in problems that I was having with my advocacy website. Beforehand, I had been trying to reach them by phone but every # I called said that they had changed their # and said that I needed to email them. As I was composing the email, I rec'd a call that showed as "Eximius". I picked-up and hung-up. They called right back. I answered. They said that my site was hacked, gave the dates and offered a security plan for $200.00. How wou/could they have had any of this info. Coincidence?? I think not! Go figure.
