These people are a scam "service" claiming to be Official Microsoft support.<br /><br />They will remotely access your computer to show you why you have problems, but they are the ones causing the problems. They are called "Software Solution Experts" and are not at all endorsed or authorized by Microsoft. In fact, Microsoft says to hang up if they call you.<br />

This is a scam. They claim to be from Microsoft and that there is a problem with your pc. Hang up and do not give any personal informaion.
Called and left no message (I don't answer unfamiliar numbers). Likely a scam curiosity call - they ring and hang up leaving no message; you call back just to see who it was or if it was important, and they try to scam you, often by putting you on hold and charging you exorbitant rates per minute. Do Not Call list does nothing against these jerks. They're not working from a specified list, they are dialing numbers in sequence using a computer. 212-555-0000, 212-555-0001, 212-555-0002, etc. No real way to stop them, but by reporting here hopefully we warn each other and no one gets scammed.

Rcvd a call from this number. Stated that I was entered in a daily jackpot---eligible to win $25,000. All I had to do was push the number provided on my key pad and I would be entered. How obvious it is a scam.
