I just wanted you to be aware of a new scam that I encountered today. Man calls me on my cell phone and tells me that he is calling from the “IT Department” and that there is a problem with my computer. I told him that I did not have a problem with my computer and he said that I did but did not know about it yet. I asked him who he was and he stated that he was from the IT Department with Microsoft. He is calling me because there was a problem with my windows application and he would lead me thru the steps to correct the problem. I told him that if Microsoft had an issue with Windows that they would issue an update to correct the problem – not call people and I hung up. <br /><br />The man called from 537-282-9507. Area Code 537 is an internet phone number so it has no location.<br /><br />Please do not allow any stranger to call you and lead you thru steps to correct your computer. Most likely they are instructing you to open a back door to your computer. <br />
I received a text from rjskshxoeoy@costless (I didn't open the message, so I don't have the rest of the address) telling me to call " Our confirmation phone number is 813-515-1834 Use it to see what you... (that was all of the message I could see without opening it). <br />I feel sad for the people who fall for this scam!
100% dirt bag. Person using this phone is a half ass, thieving con-boy, who steals from people using various forms of financial fraud, then uses the gas to drive back and forth through various states to avoid capture. POS.
I am receiving multiple calls from this number<br />the party is a super fast talker and wont let you get a word in edge wise.<br />I assume he is a solicitor. I am on the do not call list but he still keeps calling.<br />May be a scammer.
I received a phone call from this phone number, the person's name was mr. Donkin and he told me that i won $2.500,000 award from Canadian Cash Award Co. he asked me if i want to receive the money today, i need to fill some sending form ani need to take it from Western Union and i need to pay $395.00. I am pretty sure that is some kind of Scam>
Scammer calling me on my cell phone to tell me that I was selected by Publisher's Clearing House to receive a cash award. I immediately hung up.
have item for sale on Kijiji (in Newfoundland, Canada), this # is texting saying he will do bank transfer. but when i said he was in Houston Texas & could buy it cheaper, there was no more contact with him

Someone with heavy Hindu accent called from this number, saying I won a price from some USA government office. He asked if I want my money in a bank account or by western union. I never gave my info, but he knew my name, address and marital status!

Calls from 876-293-3566 are currently (2014) being received in Canada, supposedly from a Victor Price, indicating that you have won $xxxxxxxx in the Canadian Public Sweepstakes. This is of course a scam and as indicated on this website, the call originates from Jamaica.
10/21/14<br />Re: Charlie<br />I received the same postcard for the "Southwest Celebration." I didn't try calling the phone number but I tried to look it up online, and Google brought me here. I can corroborate what Charlie says about the fine print in the lower left-hand corner. A direct mail scam, perhaps?
Vague robo call from "cardholder services" (which card?, which company?) saying that there is no current problem, but to call them about lowering interest rates. SCAM?PHISHING
This number along with about 10 others have been calling me in the last 24 hours to the point that I can not use my phone. All numbers seem to be some kind of scam.
Got a call from this number threatening to shut off my utilities unless a payment was miade via a prepaid untraceable card for cvs/walgreens within the next 20 min or so. Don't fall for it
They say that they are Norton and when you call them they try to sell you a plan to clean your computer and it has a big price and when I asked if they were Norton they said no.I think that they are scamming people.
