Claims they are the IRS or internal revenue service. Referring me to call 1-206-973-3241, this is a known fraudulent number and is being investigated by the US Government. Do not respond, just block them.
Received a call from 401-647-5648. The name on the caller ID said Robert Menard. There was a woman on the other end of the phone who said she was calling about my computer and works for Windows. She said she was calling about files I downloaded. She spoke with a thick accent and was obviously reading from a script. This is a scam. I did not download any files. Beware of individuals who make calls to you like this. They are trying to get your password and other computer information. NEVER give out this information if you get a call like this!
I believe this is a scam. Someone with a heavy accent identifying himself as Steve Martin left a message that we could face criminal charges from the US Dept of Treasury if we did not call him back.
on 1-6-2014, got a message to call this number. Message from Internal Revenue Services (note s at end). Message said I must call the above number right away as the IRS was preparing to sue me. Riiiiight. Fraudsters again.

Keeps calling my cell phone constantly. When I answer no one is there. Is this a scam?
Scam phone number! Not from state of Colorado. State is listed as a foreign country.
Claimed they were from AT&T security systems. Their English wasn't very good. First person transferred me to a supervisor. I asked why she was trying to scam me. She wouldn't answer, just kept on reading script.
This number is a Microsoft Windows scam. Be sure to not answer any questions, or provide them with any personal information (billing information, nor computer information), i assure you that you will regret it!!!!
Received the call today from this guy with the Indian Accent. He got quite upset when I told him I was going to check out this number to verify it was not a scam. Thank you to those who have posted information. I will not be calling him back.
Posted an ad on craigslist. Got a message from this number. Obviously a scammer!
