Indian accent. First i thought it's a woman, but a bit later understood - it was a man.<br />He wanted to inform about security of my computer.<br />Also wanted to talk to the MAN - the owner of computer. I asked, if he wants to talk about viruses on my computer, he responded, that he believes we have antivirus, but he needed to talk about mal-ware etc.<br />I asked few times if he'd like to share this information with-the-wife-of-that-man/ woman-owner-of-the-computer. (especially if it's MY duty to take care of soft/hard ware, antivirus and everything else about comp.)<br />He said NO, he needs to talk to the MAN-owner. And he'll call later.<br />I called him 'sexist', asked not to call here anymore, otherwise i'll report him, and hung up.<br />I'm pretty sure it's a scam. It's one of those "companies", who calls random numbers, fishing for naive computer users. They'll tell you have viruses/mal.ware/ad.ware etc, and will offer to help you with this. They'll explain how to connect (remotely) your comp. to theirs, so they could "clean-up" your virus mess. And if you follow all those steps - they ll gain full control over your computer and access to all your mails, passwords, and if they are lucky - also to bank accounts.<br />Please be careful. <br />P.S.: If you really have virus issues and don't know how to deal with that, better take your computer to the service.
I keep getting calls as private caller. They left a number 876-467-0183 and said I won Publishers Clearing house.

Spammer. White Pages claims this is an invalid number.
I need the address for that phone number.
Message said they had a complaint against me for check fraud. I can't think of anything that would fit this description, so I assume it's some kind of bogus call.

I got a phone call from this number. I didn't press any key as asked instead I called the number back and it was disconnected after one ring. So obviously it's a fishing call. Don't press any number!

Calls daily and hangs up on the answering machine. I believe this to be a scam call.
Microsoft Scam....Sounds like Middle Eastern
This scam has been calling constantly, they say they are from PCH.<br /><br />Also 310-894-8183 says she is Danielle Lam from PCH, she lists her name as Lom on Facebook saying you won 1 million but then WAL-MART is always involved in these scams because you are always told to go immediately to the closest Wal-Mart and get a Western Union money order for money gram and send it.<br />
Calls several times a day for the last month or two and it only makes a noise similar to a fax machine. A person is never on the line so there is never a message- just beep beep beep at all hours.
2 calls at 3am EST 2 days in a row. No message left. It's also possible this number is from india (country code +91) 90315 60974<br /><br />No luck in finding anything out about that, tho.
