Consumer Beware!!!
Re: Student Loan
I called what I thought was a Student Loan Relief Service given to me by a trusted friend who had spoken to Denise. I called and asked for Denise. She no longer worked there and I was transferred to another agent named Mario. He explained their services. Derrick Smith, Manager called a couple days later from the same company. The Coalition for Student Loan Relief which is owned by a law firm located in Michigan. As Mario stated, the Manager Derrick repeated the services" offered. He claimed to arrange with the lender to reduce my monthly payments to "zero" due to "Personal Income Hardship. The zero payment will remain providing you submit a annual form verifying your hardship.
This would be achieved within 90 days. The terms: You are required to sign up with their legal service for 3 months costing $39.99 The loan relief service charges $695.00. However, he had the authority to reduced the cost to $300.00 if you agree to proceed now.
He would send you a Agreement/Acceptance (A/A) Form via email. This form would not list a dollar amount. Payment is accepted by credit card or bank routing number only. Once you reply to the A/A form the binding contract via emailed will sent with all the details. I ask for a copy of the contract via US Mail. He refused claiming that email is faster, you can print a copy and they are not authorized to send sensitive information through the mail.
Consumer Beware!!!
