person called our place of work and tried to tell us that we won 5.5 million dollars and a mercedes benz but we needed to send 500.00 money gram to him so we could collect it. he also states he is on his way to our office to deliver the winnings. he only new the city,state, and zip no physical address of our business. after he made several attempts to get us to give him money we told him that we were not interested and he replied with you are a dumb B**CH!!! and we hung the phone up.

They left a auto message saying they were with IRS and have been trying to get in touch with me to get some more information and that this was my final notice. Then asked me to please call them back. Which I did not and will not. <br />

they just call and hand-up. never leaves a number. i know no one in jamaica. sounds like a scam to get people to return the call and pay long distance charges.

Telemarketer selling a vacation. They were polite when I asked to put me on their do not call list.
I am in IT - one of our users called me to report that someone from 855-830-4110 called her cell number and stated she was a victim of malware via Outlook. She refused to give any info, but instead asked for a number to give to the IT dept for us to call back.<br />He gave 855-830-4110 x239.<br />After searching, i could not find this number listed.<br />I went into our antivirus/malware server and didn't see her laptop or phone info listed in there for any malware or viruses, so I called the number.<br />The number belongs to AAA Insurance.<br />The Rep I spoke to said that all of their extensions are at least 5 digits and they have a few 800 numbers that they don't use any more (as in give out to the public), but the number will still ring to their phone center.<br />He stated they have nothing to do with malware/viruses/etc, only AAA Insurance, and he suspects a scam.<br />

Received a phone call from this 209-024-5698 but nobody talks and no message so, what's the purpose of the "Check Whose Number" website if I can't get any results or information about this number. What a joke!
A telemarketer at this number called and when I told him I wasn't interested and he wasn't "following up on a previously received call" as he said, but have a nice day, he proceeded to call me a bitch.
